An Initiative by RMDIS — Banning Student Social Media Accounts to Shape Young Minds into Responsible Citizens
In today’s digital age, the influence of social media on students’ behaviour and discipline has become increasingly significant. Recognizing this, RMD International School Chinchwad has taken a commendable initiative by conducting an awareness session titled:
“Student Social Behaviour & the Impact of Social Media on School Discipline”
for parents of students studying in Std. 8th to 10th. Where it is informed to ban the social media accounts i.e.FB, INSTA, SNAPCHAT, Own individual Youtube channel, Whatsap groups etc which are not fruitful for the student education as well as causing destruction of young minds of the minor students.
RMDIS is committed to reinforcing the importance of respectful and disciplined behaviour — both online and offline. The session was featured on interactive discussions and real-life scenarios to guide students and parents in making thoughtful, value-based choices. Nurturing responsible behaviour is a shared responsibility between the school and home. All parent’s were urged to stay in close collaboration with the school to help shaping students socially aware, emotionally balanced, and ethically strong individuals.
